Day 1 of my first master cleanse. Up at 5am to drink a warm salt flush. 2 tsps of fine sea salt in1liter of purified warm water. This is supposed to take 1/2hr to 11/2 hrs to move things through the system and then I will still have time to be ready to go to work at 10 to 7.
Drinking salt water can be hard to choke back, but I did read it is easier to swallowif you imagine it is a salty broth and that seemed yummy to me.
I have been wanting to do this for a couple of months. I have been feeling sluggish and like I have a few heath issues. All relatively minor, but a good time to cleanse and see if I can get things more on track. So my mind is in a good place to do this.
To prepare I have been doing a few things. I did a candida cleanse for a week and a half in May and felt that was not a help, but that put me on lower sugar. I have been eating mostly raw for a few days and I reduced my meal sizes. Yesterday I did indulge and had a few squares of dark almond chocolate with some fruit. Mostly because I thought 'what will I miss?
I feel I have already started detoxing. I have been stinky, when I mostly don't have a strong smell and my mouth tasted metalic, just from a few days of high percentage raw.
My last full on cooked meal was all you can eat Thai in Vancouver on Sunday. Of course we ate too much and with my diet already it felt like a bad idea, but it was good.
I am doing this with my friend Josee. It is great to have someone to do it with, especially since Josee has done so many. She lent me the books and filled me in on the details.
